Description

The BorgASM will be a fully integrated visual environment for simulated cybernetic and robotic experimentation. A general purpose real-time AI/physics/animation engine core will facilitate virtual exploration of man and machine. Some biological systems will need to be implemented. For future-proofing and scalability, the core will have a plug-in architecture.
Code will be in C++ and/or Java, running on Win32 and Linux with rendering via OpenGL and/or Java3D.

Aims

A delicate interplay between man and machine already exists. Making the interplay more intimate should make the future far, far more interesting...
This software might be used to design 'smart' prostheses and the like. In the shorter term, this project should develop spin-off technologies to be used in other Open Source projects.
